We’re Baaaa-aaaack.

Man, we sure know how to waffle on! If there’s a less professional podcast out there using higher quality recording techniques, I’d be duly shocked. But hey, that’s the Geeks of Hazzard. Dig it, or complain to the network and have us thrown off the air get over it!

In this week’s episode, Van tried to talk about a few especially excellent comic books, but ended up just talking crap as per usual. See what you can get out of it! He recommended the following titles.

Y The Last Man
Fear Agent (which he said was written by Kirkman, but is in fact Rick Remender!)
The Walking Dead
DMZ
A definite end of the world theme going on there!

He also mentioned a comic which he refused to name on the air, and that is Lucha Libre. You will go and buy it, ASAP!

Other things we touched on included:

Kevin Sorbo (of Hercules and Andromeda fame) will be starring soon on Smallville as Supergirl’s pop!
Back to the Future ride at Universal Studios replaced by a Simpsons ride. Noooo!
Optimus Prime pillow that actually transforms. This is groundbreaking.
Natalie Portman in her birthday suit?
Van whined about the title of the new Harry Potter Indiana Jones movie!
ComingSoon.net are looking for writers for their new Sci-Fi site.
Kev finds some Stormtroopers on Google Maps Street View!

And on top of all that, we rambled on for some time about Heroes, Battlestar Galactica, Microsoft’s Surface technology, Kev’s upcoming trip to the US for a private meeting with the President, and his desperate desire to witness a cop run down a vigilante on a Segway.

Hey Guys, thanks for another great show. I totally agree that the about the ending or Heroes, there could have been some crazy battle at the end.

  2. Cameron Says:

Yeah the Wonder Woman film is dead in the water last I heard. Joss pulled out in Feb 07.

  3. Cameron Says:

    MAILER DAEMON!

You’re bitching about me leaving comments? You want me to “BRING THE THUNDER”? :-)

  4. Lorien Says:

Haha! I follow the Way of Geekido.

  5. Yoda Boy (Andrew) Says:

guess who is back and working on a new parody its great to have the guys back on the “air”

  6. Tony Says:

    Good show.

The comics sounded very interesting even though I am not really a big comic book guy (well I just look like him).

Ending of Heroes was a little flat but I can’t wait for next season starting next week in the USA. I got Season 1 on HD DVD and it looks great. Much better than waiting an extra 3 weeks to get it here (in Aus) and only on DVD.

I think Natalie Portman is totally hot and is more than just a pretty face. The skit she did when she was hosting SNL was classic Look it up on Youtube.

I am glad I am not the only one that think the Park gals are the hottest girls in their respective shows. Much rather be with Grace Park than Tricia Helfer and Linda Park in Enterprise is so innocently sexy as opposed to Jolene Blalock who was setup as the sex object.

I think that is all for now.

  7. Kitty Says:

thanx for keeping me entertained at work.

Actually got the bad Quark joke. thanx Van.

don’t have anything of any interest to say, just making you guys look more popular…

  8. Utizzle Says:

    ———-

The Walking Dead is less a book about zombies and more about how people survive in a world of zombies. It’s about how characters change in a world of isolation and immense stress. Kirkman has stated we will never know how the zombie plague started.

Tony Moore drew the first 6 issues of Walking Dead. Charlie Adlard drew all the remaining issues.

The first 6 issues of Invincible were drawn by Cory Walker and all remaining issues were drawn by Ryan Ottley.

Rick Remender writes Fear Agent and the art chores are divided, by story archs, betwen Tony Moore and Jerome Opena.

Good show guys. Glad you’re back!
