Completely agree with you about the stability of Windows vs other platforms, Van - my desktop PC (Win2k) runs all my office applications (mostly Microsoft), Adobe software, and MYOB. I put it on standby every night and wake it up the next day. I haven’t restarted it for more than a month, and I last formatted it mid-2003.
It’s all down to sensible usage.

that guy at NASA you talked about is pretty scary shit. The great irony of the intelligent design debate is that the people who believe in intelligent design are the best proof we have that humans are not very far removed from chimps.

On that note, I think Agnostics are the best proof we have that there’s hope for common sense in this crazy world.
